We work exclusively with WordPress; by far the most widely-used content-management system in the world. WordPress is secure, easily extensible, and we will customise the admin interface to your needs, meaning you’ll find it simple to update your site’s content into the future.
We create simple, user-friendly websites, with elegantly minimal layout and typography. A simple layout means that your site will load quickly and help your site’s users get to relevant content easily. A user-friendly website will encourage customers to get in touch with you far more than a busy, cluttered and slow website, and this will translate to more customers for your business in the long-run.
Our websites are custom-built, and we don’t use pre-made themes or code frameworks. This means that your site will be free from bloated, one-size-fits-all code, helping pages to load much faster. Our websites are also responsive for mobile devices, so they’ll give a great experience at all screen sizes. A website that loads quickly and is responsive will be ranked more highly by search engines, meaning that potential clients are more likely to find your business.
We’ve no interest in tying our clients into expensive hosting or maintenance services. To this end we train all of our clients in updating their own websites, and the more frequently they do so, the faster their search ranking improves, putting their business’ services in front of more potential customers.
After helping Little Kitchen build a successful business with their first website, we helped them look to the future with an easily extensible custom WordPress website, featuring event booking and e-commerce software.
Sandy needed a clean and professional website through which she could display and sell her work, and also document her extensive academic experience.
We delivered a custom responsive WordPress website with a clean and uncluttered user-experience. Sandy can now update all of her site’s content through the highly customised WordPress admin panel, and improve her search ranking by adding regular blog posts.
We built a horizontal-scrolling portfolio site for Bristol-based stained glass artist Edward Rhys Jones, to help him find both international clients and British clients in architecture and interior design.
Giffords Circus required a custom Squarespace website and e-commerce store, using Squarespace’s developer platform. The goal with all of the work we carried out was to reduce the daily admin workload demanded of Giffords’ team and allow their in-house designers to better manage their website updates.
For their ticket booking requirements we built a separate WordPress website, with a lot of custom work on an events and ticket sales extension.
We also delivered a private WordPress e-commerce website for Giffords to offer images to the press.
Finally, we wrote a custom program in Ruby on Rails to consolidate and streamline Giffords’ physical and digital mailing lists and integrate them with Mailchimp.
We helped Bristol-based Best of Paws get their new business off the ground. We began with a holding site to begin building a search ranking, then we designed and built a fully responsive e-commerce website.
After building a sturdy custom template for WordPress, we carried out SEO and AdWords work to give Best of Paws the best possible start in finding new customers.
We’ll chat through your project, giving advice along the way. Once we’re both clear on the scope of your project, we’ll give you a fixed cost and write an easy-to-understand contract. We take a 50% deposit of the total project cost and book a date for your project.
We’ll set up a shared board on Trello, a free service to help us keep all project communication in one place. You’ll be able to see progress on the project at all times, and we’ll keep in touch throughout the build process.
We’ll present the site to you on a private URL, so you can use the site and let us know of any revisions you’d like us to make. One clearly-defined round of revisions is included in the project cost.
We’ll launch the site for you, register it with relevant search engine services and analytics, and set up any e-mail addresses that you’d like. We’ll then visit you to show you how to update the site. We’ll give you tailored advice on using social media and advertising services to widen your business’ audience and improve your search ranking.
