Hyper Light Drifter looks like everything a computer game should be

The game design, brilliant OST and SNES-inspired gameplay looks set to add up to one of the best games around.

Heart Machine have absolutely smashed their Kickstarter goal of $27,000, raising $645,158 to develop Hyper Light Drifter, a future-fantasy RPG. The OST sounds fantastic, and this blurb from the Kickstarter campaign had us foaming at the mouth:

“Drifters of this world are the collectors of forgotten knowledge, lost technologies and broken histories. Our Drifter is haunted by an insatiable illness, traveling further into the lands of Buried Time, steeped in blood and treasure hoping to discover a way to quiet the vicious disease. Echoes of a dark and violent past from the dead eras resonate throughout and he can’t help but listen.”

We can’t wait to get lost in this, and it’s coming soon on Steam.
